Commissioned for the Eden Benchmarks project to mark the start of the River Eden footpath at the source of the river in East Cumbria. Framed by local limestone, the constantly changing sky stands in for the constantly moving river. Naturally riven on its flat surfaces, but intensively worked and polished within the river cut, the carved stone echoes the highly tactile surfaces of water worn rock.
